Shannon Grey began her financial career in 1999 as a financial advisor with Charles Schwab and Co. She holds an M.S. in Personal Financial Planning and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and she also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation. For the majority of her financial planning career, she worked closely with self-directed high-net-worth clients who managed a portion of their own investment portfolio and who were keenly involved in making crucial decisions in preserving and growing their wealth. These savvy investors had an affinity for trading in the stock market with a portion of their capital, and Shannon was their go-to for advice, education, and guidance.
In her 20 plus years of financial consulting, Shannon has served all types of investors by providing education and awareness of the many investment solutions available in retirement planning and investing. She offered ongoing educational workshops that provided insight into utilizing strategies with investments like equities (domestic and international), ETFs, bonds, mutual funds, and utilizing options for hedging and income. Today, she continues to help investors maintain a balanced portfolio and mitigate risk when investing in an ever-changing stock market. By sharing her expertise in assessing company valuations, implementing technical analysis, integrating strategies like sector rotation, investing in dividend-paying stocks for income, and more; Shannon pledges to offer custom-tailored financial planning and investment solutions when working with you. Her unique approach to investing, which sets her apart from other advisors, marries the fundamentals with the technical trends of the market, which in essence is another layer of risk management for the investment portfolio.

A CFP is a financial professional who has completed all requirements to earn certification by The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board). This encompasses years of education in 72 financial specialties, thousands of hours of practical experience, and ongoing adherence to high ethical standards and certification requirements.
CFPs are fiduciaries, which means they are ethically bound to always deliver advice that is in the best interest of their clients. They also take a holistic approach to financial planning, looking at both long-term and short-term goals.
Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) is a professional financial certification that the College for Financial Planning (CFFP) offers. To qualify for the certification, financial professionals must fulfill a series of requirements and pass a qualification exam.
Individuals who hold the CRPC designation have completed a course of study encompassing pre-and post-retirement needs, asset management, estate planning, and the entire retirement planning process using models and techniques from real client situations.
Master Planner Advanced Studies™
The Master Planner Advanced Studies™ (MPAS®) designation is owned and issued by the College for Financial Planning®–a Kaplan Company.
The MPAS is a Master of Science degree awarded to individuals who complete the College’s Master of Science degree with a major in personal financial planning. Students pursuing this degree program must complete courses totaling 36 to 43 semester credits in personal financial planning subject matter. Course content includes both research-based study coursework and real-world case studies.
